Activated Carbon is used extensively in industrial, commercial and HVAC applications to eliminate many harmful, corrosive or objectionable gases and odours by chemical adsorption.

The Activated Carbon used in Metalux Breathers is made from coconut shell that has been heated to over 2,000°C under high pressure. This process causes fissures on the surface of the carbon creating a high-quality, small-pore and highly absorbent Activated Carbon product. Metalux Activated Carbon AIR Breathers are designed to easily and economically solve the Health, Safety and Environmental issues caused by fluids that discharge regulated or objectionable fumes and odours from the tanks or reservoirs.

Several Metalux AIR Breathers containing both Activated Carbon and Gold Silica Gel Desiccant are available to not only remove the fumes and odours expelled from the tank or reservoir, but also stop contamination of the system fluid by water vapour and solid particles in breather air.
